Mastering the margarita requires a certain amount of practice, but once you dial-in your perfect ratio, its a really easy cocktail to replicate. The classic recipe is 3 parts tequila, 2 parts triple sec, and 1 part freshly squeezed lime juice, and you should probably start off pretty close to that, but my personal favorite proportions are 4-3-2.
The Perfect Margarita Ingredients
1 lime wedge
1 pinch coarse sea salt to taste
1 large ice cube
ice
2 fluid ounces white tequila
1? fluid ounces triple sec
1 fluid ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
1 slice lime
How to Make The Perfect Margarita
Moisten the rim of a glass with a lime wedge. Sprinkle salt onto a plate. Lightly dip the moistened rim into the salt. Place a large ice cube in the glass and freeze the prepared glass until ready to serve.
Fill a cocktail shaker with fresh ice. Add tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. Cover and shake vigorously until outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with a slice of lime.

The Perfect Margarita Reviews
Good proportions I like it
Ive had a lot of margaritas using various ingredients but this is easy and very tasty. Highly recommend.
Perfect with a squirt of agave nectar
It is sour as written. I added about 1/2 ounce of Agave Syrup to this recipe and it was a big hit
Perfect Margarita....will make again
Strong, very strong but tasty
I didnt like it at all.
Perfection in a glass.
The chefs personal recommendation for 4-3-2 was perfect. The Triple Sec I used was recommended to me. Produced in France, Drillaud Orange Triple Sec has bitter orange peel flavor and sweet orange combined. Really great.
This is now my go to margarita recipe. I highly recommend it just as it is listed here.
Simple yet Perfect
Didnt have access to high end tequila or triple sec but still very good(well......I did add a little more salt to lessen the bite)
He mentions in the video that the classic proportions are 3 oz tequila, 2 oz triple-sec, 1 oz lime juice. So I want to try that against this recipe.
I skipped salting and freezing the glass. Will do that next time. Used Cointreau and gold tequila because I didnt have white tequila. Thank you
Not a to bad
Simple recipe but turns out amazing. My go to margarita recipe. Now I just eyeball the ratios and it still turns out wonderful.
I made no changes. It was great
